This is a wonderful time of the year. Christmas seems to bring a different sense of living to most of us, and many are given over to thoughts of giving and serving others. Because it is Christmas time, and the new year approaches, I was reminded of all that each Taekwondo family means to me, and what you have "contributed" over the past year. You have given our school an important gift. The gift has been your loyalty and friendship. This invaluable gift cannot be measured, and can only cherished. All the instructors, and Mrs. McCain and I are thankful for each of you, and want to wish you the happiest holiday seasons greeting.

For us, Christmas is a unique time to remember the birth of the Son of God. Jesus Christ came to earth, born of a virgin named Mary, and lived a perfect and sinless life as God the Son. His birth was foreshadowed in the Old Testament, as Isaiah wrote, Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14). His name, Immanuel, is explained in Matthew’s Gospel, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us (Matthew 1:23). Jesus was God in the flesh, literally in the Greek text, "with us is the God."

So, as we celebrate the birth of Christ, let us remember the purpose for His coming to earth. John 3:16 says, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The Lord Jesus came to earth to die for the sin of man, therefore providing eternal redemption for all those who believe on His name.

Have a wonderful holiday time. Remember, we are closed from December 24 through January 1, 2006, and will begin our regular schedule once again on January 2, 2007.
